(L.A.) Henry Garcia, 36, Died in a Parking Lot

Case Number: 2024-13625

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old Latino male that occurred in a parking lot.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Henry Garcia.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Ethanol Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP HENRY GARCIA (April 24, 1988 – August 28, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 1:46 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 1.

This is a case of acute alcohol poisoning. The decedent drank too much alcohol in a short period of time and his body couldn’t process the alcohol fast enough, leading to a toxic buildup in his system.

Alcohol deaths are classified as accidents if they are unintentional. They are NOT considered natural deaths because they result from an external cause — excessive alcohol consumption — rather than an internal disease process.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Henry Garcia” in public records.
