Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 54-year-old Black female that occurred at a rehab center.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Tanya Woods.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Idiopathic Cardiomyopathy

RIP TANYA WOODS (July 5, 1970 – July 22, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 6:28 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on December 15, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.
