(L.A.) Zion Carrell, a Baby, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a Black male that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the infant boy as Zion Carrell.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Extreme Prematurity
Other Significant Conditions: Hospital Urine Toxicology Screen Positive for Cocaine
RIP ZION CARRELL (April 13, 2024 – April 28, 2024)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 7:50 p.m.
The baby was born premature. He survived for fifteen days.
This death is classified as an accidental drug overdose because of the cocaine, presumably from the mother’s intake.
