Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a Latino male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office identified the individual as Jose Meneses Lena.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Effects

Other Significant Condition: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP JOSE MENESES LENA (December 2, 1965 – July 22, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 11:20 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 1, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
