(L.A.) Carlos Topete, 46, Died From Drug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Carlos Topete.

RIP CARLOS TOPETE (October 19, 1977 – July 12, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 1:06 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 4, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
