(L.A.) James Rhymes, 63, Died From Overdosing on Drugs

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 63-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as James Rhymes.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Alprazolam, Bromazolam, Fentanyl, and Methamphetamine

RIP JAMES RHYMES (August 21, 1960 – June 27, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 11:19 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
