RIP RICHARD PRIEM (August 4, 1957 – May 11, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 4:40 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.

The decedent was initially thought to have succumbed to blunt-force injuries from a rollover accident on the Orange (57) Freeway in San Dimas.

California Highway Patrol said the crash happened at around 4:30 a.m. on the northbound freeway, north of Via Verde Drive.

Priem was the lone occupant inside a 2015 Toyota Highlander.

The northbound Toyota left the roadway for unknown reasons and drove uphill on an embankment, overturning onto its roof. It then came to rest within the roadway.

Alcohol was suspected to be a factor in the crash, but now that the results of tests have come back from the lab, ethanol intoxication has been ruled out.

Rico Priem was a crew member on the ABC television show 9-1-1. His accident apparently came after a 14-hour shift in Pomona. We do not know if he was injected with synthetic mRNA, but almost everyone working in the industry had to get the shots.

Another IATSE member who died as unexpectedly was Enoch Williams IV. The Emmy-nominated hairstylist was 56 when he passed away in his home from a heart condition in October 2023.
