Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Asian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Benny Dao.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Smoke Inhalation

RIP BENNY DAO (November 13, 1974 – April 7, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 9:33 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 22.
