(L.A.) Pei Yu, 89, Died From Septic Shock

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 89-year-old Asian male.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Pei Yu.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Septic Shock

Cause of Death B: Urinary Tract and Decubitus Wound Infection

Other Significant Conditions: Dementia, Diabetes Mellitus, Atherosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 12:18 a.m.

A decubitus ulcer is also known as a pressure ulcer, pressure sore, or bedsore. It’s an open wound on the skin caused by a long period of constant pressure to a specific area of the body.
