Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Black male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Levern Davis.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head

RIP LEVERN JOSEPH DAVIS (September 13, 1980 – September 25, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 1:32 a.m.

The decedent was found inside a vehicle near the Ventura (101) Freeway in Woodland Hills.

California Highway Patrol officers had been called at 1:18 a.m. to the westbound freeway and Winnetka Avenue where they found him lifeless inside a vehicle.
