Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Black male that occurred in a walkway.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Troy Hayward.

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Effects

RIP TROY HAYWARD (June 29, 1974 – September 22, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 3:20 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 9, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug.
