(L.A.) John Mercado, 50, Died from Drugs

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 50-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as John Mercado. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Mendoza.

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Fluorofentanyl, and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 7:45 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 20, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

This was an accidental drug overdose.
