(L.A.) Richard Hackley, 62, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 62-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Richard Hackley.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 7:07 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 19, presumably after the results of tox screening came back negative for substances.

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles has indicated that the decedent was homeless. He was found lifeless in the Skid Row area of downtown L.A.
