Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a vehicle in South L.A..

The coroner’s office identified the man as Carlos Hernandez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Chest

RIP CARLOS HERNANDEZ (July 18, 1973 – July 12, 2022)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 11:49 p.m.

The decedent was shot at around 11:40 p.m. after being followed off the 105 Freeway in the Green Meadows neighborhood. LAPD investigated.
