(L.A.) David Skogstrom, 58, Died in Pasadena

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 58-year-old Caucasian male that occurred at the John K. Van De Kamp Bridge, formerly known as La Loma Bridge.

The coroner’s office identified the man as David Skogstrom, resident of Alpha Road in Glendale.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 6:18 a.m.

The decedent was found in the Arroyo Seco area under the bridge. He apparently had jumped from a height of 110 feet, which is about ten stories high. Note that La Loma Bridge is distinct from the nearby Colorado Street Bridge, which is 150 feet above ground.
