Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 62-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Zolton Thornton.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

Other Significant Condition: Hypertensive and Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP ZOLTON MARIN THORNTON (October 29, 1962 – November 5, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 12:17 p.m.

The shooting happened days earlier, on November 1, at 1:15 p.m., by 6th & Towne.

An arrest has been made.
