(L.A.) Zachariah Alzantani, 42, Died at a Shelter

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a shelter.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Zachariah Alzantani.

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:40 p.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
The decedent’s surname may be Libyan (from Libya). His forename has also been spelled as Zacharia without the final h.
He appears to have been incarcerated at Kern Valley State Prison circa 2021 and went by the nickname Zach. He may have connections to Honolulu, Hawaii, and Eugene, Oregon.
