Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old Hispanic female that occurred on a desert field.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Yesenia Perez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Effects

Other Significant Conditions: Chronic Alcohol Liver Disease with Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage

RIP YESENIA PEREZ (March 16, 1986 – April 27, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 4:37 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 1.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
