(L.A.) Yairos Ghebrab, 24, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old Black male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Yairos Ghebrab.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Cocaine Effects

RIP YAIROS GHEBRAB (March 3, 1999 – July 10, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 10:28 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 25, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

The decedent’s name appears possibly Ethiopian/Eritrean.

The medical examiner has seen at least five deaths of Ethiopians in our area this year.
