(L.A.) Xavier Chavarin, 17, Died in El Sereno

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 17-year-old male of Latin American ethnicity that occurred at a place of business.
The coroner’s office has identified the teenager as Xavier Chavarin.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Stab Wound of the Back
RIP XAVIER DANIEL CHAVARIN (July 29, 2005 – March 3, 2023)
The decedent was a straight-A student at Woodrow Wilson High School where he was scheduled to graduate in June.
He was attacked while waiting for his mother outside King Torta restaurant in El Sereno.
His killer was seen on surveillance footage getting out of a car that had just driven up, aprroaching Chavarin on the sidewalk and stabbing the teen several times in the back with a large knife.
Chavarin later collapsed and died inside the restaurant while trying to get help.
