Case Number: 2025-14197

Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Puncture Wounds
RIP WOON LEE ( September 7, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.
The decedent was attacked by two unleashed Rottweilers in Norwalk early Saturday morning, at around 6:45 a.m.
He had been walking in the neighborhood of 166th Street and Graystone Avenue when the two dogs went at him, causing a severe injury to an artery in his left arm and massive bleeding.
Two passersby intervened, fighting off the dogs and attempting to provide aid. Paramedics from the L.A. County Fire Department transported the man to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following morning.
For a victim in his 80s, the combination of trauma, blood loss, and age-related vulnerability made survival far less likely, even with medical intervention. While injuries like a damaged artery in the arm are often survivable with prompt hospital care, his age and physical condition created unique risks.
This tragic outcome underscores how even a seemingly treatable injury can become fatal in elderly individuals.
