(L.A.) Winston Crespo-Ruelas, 50, Died at a Residence

Case Number: 2026-00237

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 50-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Winston Crespo-Ruelas.

Manner of Death : Accident

Cause of Death : Sequelae of Chronic Ethanol Use

Other Significant Condition : Blunt-Force Trauma

RIP WINSTON CRESPO-RUELAS ( January 5, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

The manner-cause chain is incoherent.

“Accident” requires acute trauma as the primary cause, yet blunt trauma was relegated to “other significant conditions” while chronic disease was listed as the cause. Chronic alcoholism does not suddenly become an accident; if blunt trauma was fatal, it belongs as the cause with alcoholism contributing.
