(L.A.) William Lopez Lopez, 47, Died in an Alleyway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Latino male that occurred in an alleyway.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as William Lopez Lopez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Methamphetamine Intoxication

RIP WILLIAM LOPEZ LOPEZ (August 21, 1977 – January 18, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 9:29 a.m.

The government investigator had initially given the decedent’s name as Juan Lopez, his age as 50, and his date of birth as September 17, 1974.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in April, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
