(L.A.) William Fregoso, 36, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office identified the man as William Fregoso.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP WILLIAM FREGOSO (April 21, 1989 – July 4, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

The decedent was shot by sheriff’s deputies at around 4:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of Helen Drive in East L.A.

He had been called about for shooting a handgun into the air.
