(L.A.) Wendell Bentley, 91, Died in West Covina

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 91-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence in West Covina.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Wendell Bentley.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Toxic Envenomization

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

The decedent was attacked by a swarm of bees in his backyard.

Note that the government investigator had initially spelled the decedent’s surname as Bently.
