Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 62-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at an encampment.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Walter Choate.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Intoxication

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:55 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 22, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.
