Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Latino male that occurred at a warehouse in Lancaster.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Victor Zepeda.

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

The decedent was a nine-year veteran employee of the Los Angeles County Public Works department, where he served as a heavy power equipment operator.

A crane fell in a work zone at a county facility at 260 East Avenue K-8, resulting in a fatal mechanical malfunction. This happened at around 10:35 a.m.
