Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 64-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Victor Hernandez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Myocardial Ischemia

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Morphine and Medical History of Polysubstance Abuse and Tobacco Smoking

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 3:50 p.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
