(L.A.) Victor Catalan, 45, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Victor Catalan.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Ethanol Intoxication

RIP VICTOR CATALAN (January 14, 1980 – May 15, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:02 a.m.

This was a case of acute alcohol poisoning. The decedent drank too much over a short period of time.

Alcohol deaths can be classified as accidents under the assumption that the sots didn’t intend to kill themselves.
