(L.A.) Vickie Jones, 63, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 63-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Vickie Jones.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Sequelae of Stroke, Clinical

Cause of Death B: Acute Cocaine Intoxication, Clinical

RIP VICKIE JONES (May 31, 1961 – February 19, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 16, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
