(L.A.) Vernont Murray Jr., 39, Died From Gunshots

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Vernont Murray Jr.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds

RIP VERNONT MURRAY JR. (November 14, 1984 – July 1, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 11:12 p.m.

The decedent was shot at around 9:50 p.m. near the 6000 block of Long Beach Boulevard.

Two suspects have been arrested for the shooting.
