(L.A.) Vanessa Montes Rodriguez, 33, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Vanessa Montes Rodriguez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Methamphetamine and Ethanol

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 5:53 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
