(L.A.) Vada Brooks, 52, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 52-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Vada Brooks.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP VADA BROOKS (January 8, 1973 – April 16, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 7:50 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 1, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
