Jovita Moore, Vaccinated Earlier This Year, Dies of Brain Cancer

Atlanta journalist Jovita Moore, who received her second dose on April 2nd and was diagnosed with brain cancer on April 18th, has died.

“After a nearly 7-month battle with an extremely aggressive form of brain cancer, our colleague and friend Jovita Moore has passed away,” Moore’s co-anchor Justin Farmer said in a video posted on the station’s website.

Moore posted her vaccination status on her Instagram account. “Last month, this week, two doses, done!”

In the summer, Los Angeles chef Mark Peel received a diagnosis of stage-four lung cancer just nine days before his eventual death on June 20.
