Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old Black male.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Trevell Spears. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Martin.

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine and Phencyclidine

RIP TREVELL H SPEARS (June 25, 1973 – June 3, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 15, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
