Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 34-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Travon Hughes.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP TRAVON HUGHES (January 31, 1989 – April 6, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 3:58 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late September, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
