Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 63-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on a sidewalk near Skid Row.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Timothy Wittenbrink.

Height: 5 feet 9 inches / Weight: 140 pounds

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Sharp-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

The decedent was transient. He had arrests in recent years for shoplifting, burglary and petty theft.

Timothy J. Wittenbrink was convicted of “Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse of a Victim Under 13 Years Old” in the state of Illinois in 2001. He was released from prison in 2005.
