Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Timothy Garrison.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Multiorgan Failure

Cause of Death B: Cardiac Arrest

Cause of Death C: Septic Shock

Cause of Death D: Bacteremia and Hypothermia

Other Significant Conditions: Illicit Polysubstance Abuse, Chronic Kidney Disease, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with Hyperglycemia, Gangrene, Osteomyelitis, Right-Hand Contracture, Frostbite

RIP TIMOTHY GARRISON (June 25, 1968 – December 17, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 12:24 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on January 18.

The decedent is believed to have been homeless. It appears he did not have the health to fight off the cold.

Hypothermia is what classifies this as an accidental death because it is unintentional and it is not natural.
