(L.A.) Thomas Kovilakath, 35, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Thomas Kovilakath.

Height: 5 feet 11 inches / Weight: 140 pounds

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Benzodiazepines, Amphetamines, Cocaine, and Fentanyl

RIP THOMAS PHILIP KOVILAKATH (October 21, 1990 – March 5, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

The decedent may have been homeless. LAPD Transit Services had arrested him in September 2024 for drug possession. At the time, his city of residence was North Hollywood.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polydrug overdose.
