Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Black male that occurred at a public park in Palmdale.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Thomas Dedmon.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Back

RIP THOMAS DEDMON (May 9, 1977 – July 25, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 12:10 a.m.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department had responded at around midnight to calls about a gunshot victim in the 38200 block of 10th Street East.
