(L.A.) Teddy Campos, 43, Died in Redondo Beach

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Latino male at the Redondo Beach Pier.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Teddy Campos.

Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Velasquez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head and Neck

RIP TEDDY MICHAEL CAMPOS (May 25, 1980 – February 16, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 6:37 a.m.

The decedent was a homeless person who was shot execution-style, causing him to fall down a flight of stairs. This happened at a Redondo Beach Pier parking structure.

Redondo Beach police had been called to the 100 block of West Torrance Boulevard at around 6:10 a.m. for an unconscious victim with a gunshot wound to the head.

UPDATE: Alexis Martinez, 29, of Inglewood was arrested for this crime on March 6. He was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison on August 27 for the killing.
