(L.A.) Tavari Sinclair, 20, Died From a Back Shot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 20-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Tavari Sinclair.

Height: 6 feet 4 inches / Weight: 150 pounds

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Back

RIP TAVARI SCOTT SINCLAIR (February 12, 2004 – February 6, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 11:10 p.m.

The decedent had been picked up by police at least twice for possessing weapons, most recently on January 12. He was released without charges two days later because of insufficient grounds for a criminal complaint. His “arrest” at the time was classified as only a detention, under California Penal Code Section 849(b)(1).
