Germarcus David
Germarcus David, Sr. fatally shot his four children and their maternal grandmother in Lancaster on November 28, 2021.
It was a quintuple homicide and mass murder.
Germarcus Lamar David, 29 years old at the time, fatally shot his four children—Namyiah (11), Germarcus Jr. (7), Kayden (2), and Noah (1)—as well as their grandmother, Ericka England (51), who was babysitting the children. The children’s mother discovered the bodies at the family home and called 911 immediately. David turned himself in to the sheriff’s deputies within minutes.
David was charged with five counts of murder and three counts of assault on a child causing death. The victims were shot multiple times in the upper torso and died at the scene. Evidence indicated the use of both a gun and a shotgun. The prosecution argued that the killings were willful, deliberate, and premeditated, motivated by David’s anger at his estranged wife, who was pursuing a divorce and moving on with her life. He reportedly tried to make his estranged wife feel the pain he was experiencing by killing the children and her mother.
In March 2024, David was convicted of first-degree murder with special circumstances of multiple murders and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
