Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Asian female that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Susie Lee Yeh.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Strangulation

RIP SUSIE LEE-YEH (February 14, 1967 – April 20, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 4:42 p.m.

Also known as Susie L. Yeh, the decedent was found dead inside an Alhambra home from an apparent murder-suicide.

Susie Lee Yeh and David Yeh, both 56, were identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

Police responded to the 900 block of North Almansor Street, south of Huntington Drive and east of North Atlantic Boulevard, on Thursday at around 4:30 p.m. after a resident requested a welfare check at a house because the occupants had been unreachable for several days.

Detectives found the bodies of a man and a woman in their mid-50s. There were no signs of forced entry.

Preliminary evidence suggests the woman was killed by her husband David Yeh, who then killed himself. The couple, both CalState graduates, ran the recruitment firm Yeh Group, which did business as Pathways Consulting. They are survived by an adult son named Ethan.

Susie Lee Yeh received a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and a Minor in Business Administration from California State University of Los Angeles.
