(L.A.) Steven Zimmerer, 49, Died at an Embankment

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at an embankment.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Steven Zimmerer.

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP STEVEN ZIMMERER (January 22, 1976 – April 10, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 7:26 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 20, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The government investigator had initially said the place of death was near a freeway off-ramp.
