(L.A.) Steven Martinez, 23, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 23-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Steven Martinez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Codeine, and Promethazine

RIP STEVEN NICHOLAS MARTINEZ (December 23, 2002 – December 24, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polydrug overdose.

Promethazine is a medication used to manage and treat allergic conditions, nausea and vomiting, motion sickness, and sedation.
