(L.A.) Steven Evanich, 57, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 57-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Steven Evanich.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Ischemic Heart Disease

Cause of Death B: Effects of Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
