Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 21-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Steve Vaughn.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Anoxic Brain Injury

Cause of Death B: Consequences of Drug Use

RIP STEVE VAUGHN (October 23, 2000 – September 3, 2022)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 8:37 p.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
