(L.A.) Stephen Shoopman, 77, Died From Drug Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 77-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Stephen Shoopman.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Recent Cocaine Use

RIP STEPHEN SHOOPMAN (February 6, 1947 – May 24, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 3:40 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 10.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
