(L.A.) Sergio Rios, 33, Died From Gunshots

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Sergio Rios.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds

RIP SERGIO RIOS (October 24, 1990 – June 1, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 2:08 p.m.

The decedent was one of two men killed in a shooting in the Exposition Park area.

LAPD said the incident happened at around 2 p.m. in front of 1122 Browning Blvd., near the intersection of Budlong Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, about a block from USC.

Both victims were sitting in a silver sedan when a man believed to be about 35 years old walked up and fired multiple gunshots at them, then fled in a white older-model Toyota four-door sedan.

No arrests have been announced.
